Grades are posted! It’s been a wonderful semester. Stop by my office whenever you need to chat and feel free to poke through the students’ blogs next year–you deserve the chance to see what you’re experimentation led to.
Have a great summer.
Just in case you didn’t write it down:
May 1st and 3rd will be spent doing in-class work towards your cultural understanding presentation and paper.
May 8–8am-10am Final Exam period for 8am class
May 10–9am-11am Final Exam period for 9:30 class.
Papers for the Cultural Understanding Period are due before the final exam.
Since you are my guinea pig classes, for your final exam I would like you to give me some feedback on the use of the blog this semester. In an essay blog post long enough to adequately answer the questions and demonstrate your abilities as a writer, provide your feedback on the blog as a whole. What aspects of the blog worked for you? Why were these conducive to your learning? What aspects did not work for you? Why not? If you could change one aspect of the blog, what would it be and why? Will you continue to blog in the future–either for personal reasons or for academic reasons? Why or why not?
Remember–you need to proofread this essay very carefully.
Also—remember to add a comment to this post when you have completed your essay so that I know to grade it.
Essays are due before class on Thursday May 3.
Before writing this post you need to read the two selections in your textbook listed below:
Chapter 24
When you have finished reading these sections, I want you to create two separate blog entries. Read the rest of this entry »
